Synopsis

The Theatre Company Counting Ants comes from Madrid and is formed by two blind actresses and an extraordinary group of people. They staged Hildegard’s Visions a contemporanean theatre play about Hildegard von Bingen, a German abbess from the 12^th century. She was physician, music composer, diplomatic and visionary.

With this documentary we enter in the private moments of the group, the rehearselings, the preparation of the set. We know deeply all the members and their desires. We see the whole process of creation of the piece, the premiere and vibe with the applause and commentaries of the public.

Contando Hormigas (Counting Ants) is a theatre group from Madrid with blind actresses, directed by Ignacio Calvache.

From its creation in 2004, the group has staged 5 shows. 

With the team of the theatre group Counting Ants.

Reunión

Justo después de ensayar, se reúnen Ignacio Calvache con Mamen Martín, Werner Glaser y Mariu del Amo para ajustar los movimientos con el músico.

Sinopsis del documental SEGUIR CONTANDO HORMIGAS

El grupo teatral madrileno Contando Hormigas formado por dos actrices ciegas y un equipo artístico extraordinario, pone en escena Las Visiones de Hildegard, una obra de teatro contemporáneo sobre la abadesa alemana del siglo XII, que fue entre otras cosas medico, compositora y visionaria.

Con éste documental nos adentramos en los ensayos, los preparativos y los momentos privados del grupo; conocemos muy de cerca los miembros del equipo y sus suenos; vemos el proceso y estreno de la obra y vibramos con los aplausos y comentarios del público.
